Localcoin Goes to the Blockchain Futurist Conference 2023!

Exquisitely curated to envelop attendees in a fully immersive experience, the event ingeniously intertwined the fabric of crypto through avenues like crypto-powered marketplaces, vivid NFT galleries, the convenience of crypto ATMs, and an overarching embrace of blockchain technology's capabilities. 

Drawing an unwavering annual attendance of over 6,000 enthusiasts, this conference provided a remarkable conduit for forging connections with pioneering founders, astute investors, and visionary projects. The VIP Cabanas facilitated spirited discussions, dynamic networking sessions pulsated with energy, and two tiers of exhibitor booths offered a multifaceted exploration of innovation.

Shibtoken sported one of the most impressive booths, and put together and threw an exciting after-party in the Cabana area on the second day of the conference, bookending the experience with some fantastic festivities.

Our friends at WonderFi ensured attendees remained active by challenging them to score as many baskets as they could within an allotted time to win a basketball signed by one of Toronto's own Raptors.

On top of Localcoin’s Chief Compliance Officer’s wonderful speech, there were many other great speakers and guests, including Dragons’ Den’s Michele Romanow, Ethereum co-founder Anthony Di Iorio, and founder three crypto-related start-ups – Invictus Innovations, Ethereum and IOHK, and Cardano co-founder Charles Hoskinson.

Hoskinson was one of the last to speak, and potentially one of the most poignant. He touched on the blockchain space as a whole, highlighting its place within exponential technologies, likening it to other tech with exponential growth such as the atomic bomb. Through this comparison, he touched on the massive opportunity blockchain has to positively change the world, so long as it is used properly.
