Temporary Wind Down of Operations in Poland

Localcoin has made the proactive decision to temporarily suspend all crypto ATM (bitomat) operations across Poland. This decision has been taken voluntarily, in good faith, and in direct response to new regulatory requirements introduced under the European Union's Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA).

• All Localcoin bitomat terminals across Poland are currently unavailable for transactions.
• No new purchases or sales of cryptocurrency can be processed through Localcoin ATMs during this period.
• This suspension applies exclusively to Localcoin's Polish operations.

We understand that this may cause inconvenience, and we sincerely apologise for any disruption. This temporary measure has been implemented deliberately and responsibly to ensure that Localcoin meets its full obligations under the new regulatory framework.

The European Union's Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) represents the most comprehensive regulatory framework ever introduced for the crypto-asset sector across EU member states, including Poland. MiCA establishes new and binding obligations for all entities providing crypto-asset services - including operators of crypto ATMs.

Rather than continue operations while our compliance processes are still being finalised, Localcoin has made the decision to pause all bitomat services. We believe this is the correct course of action for the following reasons:

• Customer protection: Suspending operations proactively ensures that our customers are not exposed to any regulatory uncertainty during the transition period.
• Regulatory integrity: Operating without confirmed full compliance, even temporarily, is not consistent with the standards Localcoin holds itself to.
• Long-term trust: We believe that short-term inconvenience is a reasonable trade-off for the long-term confidence our customers can have in our services.

We expect to resume full crypto ATM operations within a few weeks. As soon as our compliance obligations are satisfied and our services are confirmed ready for relaunch, we will notify customers through our website and official communication channels.
